Wilson, Scott W.

Scott Wilson's Monument in Woodland Cemetery    Born in Mason Township, Lawrence County, Ohio on February 5, 1873, Scott W. Wilson made his adult home on 5th Street and Park Avenue. He was a real estate broker and insurance agent in Ohio since 1900. He resided in Ironton for thirty years.
On September 12, 1894, he married his first wife, Osa Drummonds. The couple had six children: Neva, Hobart, James, Dorothy, Gretchen and Hollace. Hollace was only mentioned in the census records of the family. The rest of the children were listed in their father’s obituary. Osa died on February 25, 1911 under what some claim was mysterious circumstances.
Regardless of how Osa died, Scott decided to remarry over a year after her death. He married Lou Price on November 15, 1912. No children were mentioned. They remained married until his death.
Scott died after being ill for six weeks at the Marting Hospital on November 6, 1929. He was buried in Woodland.
